Our UU sources include the wisdom of the world religions, science, personal experiences, and the words and deeds of those who exemplify compassion, justice, and the transforming power of love.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Worship Services &#038; Times<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Services are held each Sunday starting at\u00a0<strong>10:30 a.m.<\/strong>\u00a0and generally last about an hour.\u00a0 Join us in our sanctuary or via Zoom (here is the link to our\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/zoom.us\/j\/98720586915?pwd=VzZaWlppNWFjY24rN3BhTUlxQi9pdz09#success\"><strong>Sunday morning Zoom Worship service<\/strong><\/a>) The link becomes active within the hour before the service begins. Follow us on Facebook or send an\u00a0<a href=\"mailto:uufortwayne@frontier.com\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><strong>email<\/strong><\/a>\u00a0to the office if you would like to receive our weekly updates and Zoom invites.<\/p>\n<p>In-person attendees are expected to be vaccinated against Covid-19 if medically eligible.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Upcoming Sunday services<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>April 23rd<\/strong>\u00a0\u2014 \u201cEarth Day\u201d<br \/>\nIn honor of Earth Day, Jessica Marquart is conducting a service that will include how we can change our habits to improve our commitment to reusing, reducing, and recycling in our lives.<\/p>\n<p><strong>April 30th<\/strong>\u00a0\u2014 \u201cShowing Up\u201d<br \/>\nA guest from Northern Virginia is showing up today at UUCFW \u2013 Rev. Dr. Linda Olson Peebles. The theme of the hour we share will encourage us to remember how important it is that we find ways to show up \u2013 for ourselves, our families, our communities, and the whole creation. Each of us matters, and showing up changes the history of the world.<br \/>\n<strong>Linda Olson Peebles<\/strong>\u00a0lives outside Washington, DC, and over the past 33 years has served congregations in Virginia \u2013 Mt. Vernon, Arlington, Burke, Charlottesville \u2013 and in Rockville, Maryland. She has been a denominational leader (UUA Board of Trustees, member of the Journey Towards Wholeness and Ministerial Fellowship committees, and President of the UU Ministers Association). Recently retired, she continues to be a leader in interfaith community organizing for justice. She met UUCFW member John Tolley at Meadville Lombard Theological School 30 years ago, and is honored to be his colleague and friend.<\/p>\n<p><strong>May 7th<\/strong>\u00a0\u2014 \u201cAwakening\u201d<br \/>\nRev. Dr. Linda Olson Peebles returns to UUCFW to defend the importance of \u201cbeing woke\u201d.
